Reading, writing & real results. 1-on-1 sessions at your local library in Scarborough & North York, or online via Google Meet.
Hey, I’m Mariam.
I am an English tutor and curriculum developer based in Scarborough, Toronto. I hold a BA in English and my passion for reading and writing has led me to share that love with students across the city. I have been tutoring for years, helping students at every level build confidence, find their voice, and develop a genuine appreciation for the English language.
I work with K–12 students in Scarborough and North York, in focused one-on-one sessions and small groups at your local library. Every lesson is built around the Ontario curriculum and tailored to exactly where each student is right now.
"Whether your child is still learning to read or wants to master essay writing, I’d be thrilled to help."— Mariam Awad, Founder
Here’s what I focus on at each stage of learning.
Phonics, reading fluency, and falling in love with books. This stage sets everything else up.
Paragraph structure, comprehension, grammar basics, and writing with confidence.
Essay writing, persuasive and creative writing, and preparing for the jump to high school.
Thesis writing, literary analysis, exam prep and critical thinking for university and beyond.
Pay per session or save with a package. No hidden fees or long-term contracts.
All sessions are held at Toronto Public Library branches across Scarborough and North York, or online via Google Meet anywhere in Ontario.
